If You Love, Love Openly

This is a good Zen story I would like to share with all of you: If you love, love openly. Twenty monks and one nun, who was named Eshun, were practicing meditation with a certain Zen master. Eshun was very pretty even though her head was shaved and her dress plain. Several monks secretly fell … Continue reading

[Macam-macam] Kotak Surat

Lagi jalan-jalan, iseng nemu ini. Dari jauh, ga ngeh, biasanya ‘No Junk Mail’ eh ini malah ‘No Junk Male.’ Ahh semoga saja bukan saya heheh… Lain lagi ketika saya jalan di tempat yang beda, saya malah nemu yang ini, kotak surat yang sudah ‘ga berbentuk.’ Kotaknya sudah banyak coretan vandalisme, stiker plastik (entah untuk pengaman … Continue reading

Learning to Dance: Why Not?

People may think that as a Balinese, you’ll be able to dance. Not true. Bali can be famous for its culture and traditional customs, including dances but, it does not automatically make you able to dance… Yep, that includes me 🙂 Therefore, joining the dance workshop below was much of fun for me. As I … Continue reading

Rise of the Machines: When Robots Play Music

This news has been everywhere earlier (e.g. Metal Sucks, Loudwire, Ubergizmo, & Geekologie). I just want to wrap it here, too. Despite of showing human intelligence at one point, this may mark the point where robots could slowly take most of humans’ duties. Of course, to my opinion, this is more suited to ‘assistive type … Continue reading

Power Metal – Lagu Kebebasan

Power Metal is a heavy metal band from Surabaya, Indonesia. Born from a rock festival, They have a quite long story in the Indonesian music history; one of the best, I could say. I have written a post about this band earlier here (in Indonesian). Even though I talked about the band’s possible plagiarism (“Penguasa” … Continue reading

Stop Reading This, Go Back StuDYING

Snaps Edition: Library Vandalism. Here are some ‘creative’ writings I found at the campus library. Have fun! 🙂 Go back, study, study, study! Cause if you don’t, you’ll die, die, die! Bla, bla, (unrecognizable words), Come on!, Ayo! Let’s study! Surely, some fellow students could get tensed when studying. Nevertheless, it might boost your motivation, … Continue reading

Ayo!!: A Sign of Creativity?

I captured this in a study booth in the library. It seems people always try to be ‘creative’ in some ways 🙂 I don’t know for sure if the other two words in other languages are correct. It seems this ‘Ayo!!’ was ‘generated’ from the previous ‘Come On!!’ Maybe, the translator of ‘Ayo!!’ (I assume … Continue reading

Free Lem-Ons

I saw the first sign around 2 weeks ago while riding my bike to a supermarket nearby. What captured my eyes was the writing of the sign. It’s pretty interesting; something that you don’t see everyday – as a friend of mine said once. What made it more interesting is that the owner offers his … Continue reading
